Whether she’s slinging jokes on Facebook and Twitter while watching reality shows or blogging about all things writing and communications related, Angie Jennings Sanders is a writer (and reader) at heart. Angie entered college as a pre-med student, only to find that communication and the written word were her passions. At the start of her career, she worked as a production assistant for WHSV-TV3, an ABC affiliate in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She then spent a few years working on Capitol Hill with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Angie has also held positions with a boutique public relations firm, a software development company, and a luxury car manufacturer. She’s even a former adjunct English instructor. Angie is a lifelong learner whose talents and years of experience are hard to confine to a 6’x6’ cubicle.
She holds a B.S. in media arts and design from James Madison University and an M.A. in professional writing from Kennesaw State University. Angie is the author of Twist, a novel about a young woman’s struggle to find herself emotionally and professionally.
She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and the portfolio director for the DC Metro chapter’s independents special interest group.
